It depends on what you add to it. If you buy a frozen or take out pizza, they are loaded with preservatives, sodium, chemicals and fat. They are horrid. If you make your own, use fresh ingredients with no meats, or something like lean chicken on it, and low sodium cheese and sauce, you will have a better pizza that will be more healthy.

it really isn't. If you took the same exact ingredients on a sausage pizza and made pasta with the dough instead of crust, you would have spaghetti with meat sauce and veggies. some types of pizza are pretty greasy though and some of the odd flavors are pretty much junk but a basic pizza is not.

Because pizza is not balanced when it comes to nutrients. It's usually loaded with grease and carbs assuming we're talking about major pizza chains.

Because it can be junk food or it can be a square meal depending on the recipe.

It isn't. It is actually quite good for you.

Majorly because of the way it's prepared.  Most chains load up their dough and sauce with sugar, and saturate everything with grease and salt.  Pizza whipped up at home using a cauliflower or ancient grain crust, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, vegetables, and spices are actually fairly balanced so long as you consume in moderation.

Not the healthiest thing to eat often, but it's not too bad
