Figure the side length of each square and then sort them.

A --> side length = 36 cm

s = 36 cm

B --> area is 36 cm²

A = s²

36 = s²

s = √36

s = 6 cm

C --> perimeter is 36 cm

P = 4s

36 = 4s

s = 36/4

s = 9 cm

The smallest is B (side length = 6 cm, perimeter = 24 cm, area = 36 cm²)

The middle is C (side length = 9 cm, perimeter = 36 cm, area = 81 cm²)

The largest is A (side length = 36 cm, perimeter = 144 cm, area = 1296 cm²)

area of 36 is 6cm perside  smallest

Perameter of 36 is 9cm per side middle

length of 36 is largest 36cm  per side largest

When you say smallest to largest I would assume you mean area. Or, do you mean perimeter?

Square A

Area 36² = 1296 cm², perimeter 4 x 36 = 144 cm

Square B

Area 36 cm², perimeter 4 x 6 = 24 cm

Square C

Area 9 x 9 = 81 cm², perimeter = 36 cm

so, ranking in order of size, whether by perimeter or area we have:

B smallest, C middle and A largest.

Area of square A = (36)^2 = 1296 cm^2

Area of square B = 36 cm^2

from square C

solve for is length

P = 4L

36 = 4L

L =9cm

solving the Area of square C

A = s^2 = 9^2 = 81 cm^2

therefore

B - smallest

C - middle

A - largest

Side length (A,B,C) = (36,6,9) cm. Squares from smallest to largest are (B,C,A).

Square A :

A = 1296 cm^2         Largest

Square B:

A = 36 cm^2             Smallest

Square C:

A = 81 cm^2              Middle

A: side is 36 cm

B: A = 36 cm², side = √36 = 6 cm

C: P = 36 cm, side = 36/4 = 9 cm

surely you can rank the three numbers....

Try doing the math first.

I'll give you a hint:

Square A has an area of 1296 cm^2 and a perimeter of 144 cm.
