I'm starting to get a sock tan line. What should I do?

I walk a lot in the summer, and I'm talking 7-10 mile walks per day. Since I wear shorts and sneakers, my legs are exposed to the sun, but my feet aren't. So my legs are starting to tan, but my feet are remaining pale.

In the previous summers, I usually hit the beach a few times a year to fix that. But this year with the Coronavirus pandemic, it's been hard to go to the beach. So I don't have an opportunity to get a full tan, especially on my feet.

So what can I do to get rid get rid of my sock tan line on my feet? Since I walk so much outside, wearing open toed shoes like flip flops or sandals to expose my feet to the sun might be a bit difficult given the long distance walking I do.

    Wear just your sandals with your daily walks.

    For the few times you need your feet to match your legs, use a self tanner or tanning make up.

    Or sit out in your yard or balcony and with your socks and shoes off.
