What do you think about this fake news: Virus could have been created together with its "antivirus", to release at the right moment?

This practice is quiet common in software.

That story is total rubbish. That is the problem with the internet. People make up lies and spread them around until the gullible believe them without checking.

I find it very hard to see how creating the worldwide economic slump from the Covid-19 virus infection benefits anyone other than a psychopath.

It depends how capable and controlling you imagine those in control of the world's political and economic systems might be. With deep conspiracy theory you have to believe in a demi-god-like cabal running everything like clockwork via 'international Jewery' or some other ever-lasting and money-controlling organisation. Such an idea gained traction in Sci-Fi author Isaac Asimov's Foundation Series in which Psychohistory enables accurate predictions to be made across huge spans of time and space. - So perhaps, in line with the current suite of conspiracy theories, when the planes start flying again, they might put something in the air to release your 'anti-virus' into the atmosphere?Yet, war plans seldom survive the first encounter and 5-year economic plans, so beloved of socialist and other control-freak countries, never work and are incapable of replacing the boom & bust cycle of capitalism.

Don't depend on an anti-viral vaccine being readily available, and certainly don't depend on anyone's ability to hijack a mutating virus to turn it off.

I really don't react (even if I read it!!) to rumours and 'fake news'.    Who knows what really happened with Corvid 19.   We may never know.
