I found a wild lizard tonight in terrible shape, but it is still living, what can I do to save its life before it dies?

I was about to take a bath when I saw a big gecko in my bathtub. When I found it, its skin was found cut to the point of its last layer of skin where you can see its internal organs breathing and it’s bleeding. And I found out its foot is missing and it’s bleeding from that spot. I’m terrified for its life even if it’s just a gecko and I’m telling the truth I’m not the one who caused this torture to the animal. How do I save this animal’s life. Please don’t say let it die, it will be my fault that it dies because I found it in this state. I just want to rehabilitate this living breathing life.

    Sounds like possible cat victim.

Likely it will have an infection from the cat.

Put it in a box in a warm place with access to water.

Try and contact a local wildlife carer for more advice.

It likely needs antibiotics, pain releif, and other wound treatment

You can't do anything,, it's obviously too injured for amateur care, your only hope if you're serious is to take it to a vet,, otherwise do what you can to keep it safe and comfortable and be prepared to accept the inevitable.

Lizards like bugs so give it one and see if that helps
