yeast population growth biology ?

the growth rate of yeast in a solution is given by the formula R(c)=1.2c/0.26+c

c is the concentration of sugar in units of 10−4 molar and R is the rate of yeast growth in cell divisions per hour.

Find dR/dc=

 evaluate dRdc at c=3.=

    R(c) = 1.2c/(0.26+c)

    dR/dc = [1.2(0.26+c) - 1.2c(1)]/(0.26+c)²

    dR/dc = (0.312 + 1.2c - 1.2c)/(0.26+c)²

    dR/dc = 0.312/(0.26+c)²

    At c=3

    dR/dc = 0.312/(0.26+3)² ≈ 0.029
