What was the biggest comet ever recorded?

Calculations count. Both nucleus size and tail length.

For nucleus size it is via calculations the Great Comet of 371BC which is thought to have had a ~150km wide nucleus.

For tail length it is the Great Comet of 1106 AD which developed a massive 'pillar of light' exceeding 100 degrees in length across the sky

Haley's was visible from Earth, and therefore seemed to be the biggest recorded by Earthly astronomers.
