why can't people accept that wrestling is the ultimate martial art?

Amateur, freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling have very few submission techniques, so I don't know how you came to the conclusion that wrestling is the ultimate martial art.  Wrestling is outstanding for physical conditioning, but by itself, it isn't the best fighting system.  There are MMA fighters and BJJ fighters that can tap out wrestlers.

Because it isn't, now, are we talking actual wrestling like greco-roman, Freestyle or Catch wrestling? those are legit and very effective. Or are we talking fake, scripted wrestling?

Because wrestling is not the ultimate martial art. Striking styles are more efficient and can be learned much faster.

Wrestling is only small piece of larger puzzle.

Because there is no such thing as an ultimate martial art; only an ultimate practitioner regardless of the martial art.

    Because that is not evident.

Because they have never been subjected to a suplex from the top rope. That would change their minds real quick...

    Probably because it isn't.

If people don't, maybe it's because they don't think there's any such thing as "the ultimate martial art," whatever that's supposed to mean.
