I have been successful with 2 different things. It just depends what seems easiest to you.

    1. Dawn dish soap -- apply right on the grease and rub in for a second or two. Then wash normally with detergent and warm or hot water.

    2. Simple Green -- spray on grease, then wash with detergent, warm or hot.

Another thing that many people do is spray WD-40 on the grease. WD-40 is a thin grease that breaks down the thick, stubborn grease. Then detergent is supposed to be able to remove WD-40. I haven

    t tried it yet.

My dad was a heavy equipment operator. He retired a few years ago. So I'm not sure if they still make this stuff any more. My mom used a product called Goop (might be Gop) Hand Cleaner. It came in a white or silver can with blue writing on it. The product was a super thick cream almost like Crisco shortening.

My dad used it to clean his hands and my mom used it to get the grease and oil out of my his work clothes by rubbing some on the stains and rubbing it in. She let it set for like 15 to 20 minutes and then washed it in the hottest water the fabric could take. It might take a few times but it worked every time.

I'm sensing that although you are using the word "auto mechanic" you really mean pimp. Say that's the real story here and you are his Tublet Ho in need of some strong meds for a out of control case of the clap with a side of chlamydia, and the jerk won't cough up any cash to send you to Tijuana for the cheap stuff.

Spray the bad areas with automotive brake cleaner. Then wash with hot water and any quality detergent, plus OxyClean. You may need to wash twice.
