how to type a definite integral into the computer!!!!!?

Question

so you know that to put a square root you would do this:

sqrt(4)

how would you write a definite integral from 1 to 5 of a given function??/ its urgent!! thanks

You really need to explain your question more. "A Computer" is too vague. As someone else pointed out there is a way to do it in MathCad. But I believe it can't be done in Excel. And know it can't be done in Visual Basic. Maybe you should repost your question.

You would type

integral( f(x), respected variable, lower limit, upper limit)

I would try the syntax int(f(x),x,1,5)
